III. Course Description : This course is designed to enhance students’ communication competence demonstrated through writing. It aims to provide the students with effective language and thinking skills and the language learning strategies necessary for academic study which are illustrated and prescribed in a series of written exercises.

VII. Course Objectives : At the end of this course, students shall
be able to:
1. Explain the development of writing and compare it from the types of writing use today
2. Recognize and appreciate the varieties of English
3. Apply the ways of developing paragraphs.
4. Write a unified and coherent paper on specific disciplines.
